Allurion Gastric Balloon (coming November 2024)
For people who meet the treatment criteria*, Brellah Weight Loss Clinic utilises the Allurion Gastric Balloon as a non-surgical intervention to facilitate weight loss. Placement does not require surgery or endoscopy, making it a less invasive option.
The balloon is placed inside your stomach by means of a swallowable capsule during an outpatient clinic visit. After approximately 4 months, the balloon self-empties and passes out of the body naturally.
*TREATMENT CRITERIA
The following are general criteria only. Each person is assessed individually to make sure the intervention is right for them:
- Aged 18 years or older
- Body mass index (BMI) between 27-40
- Not currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- No prior stomach or oesophageal surgery
