Free CPD event for GPs: More Than Alzheimer’s

We are excited to host our first CPD event of 2025 for GPs in partnership with Dementia Support Australia.

Continuing our popular CPD training events for GPs, our next seminar will be focused on the significant issue of dementia among Australian adults.

Currently, over 410,000 Australians are estimated to be living with dementia, and the highest proportion of these reside in New South Wales. Projections tell us that the prevalence of dementia in Australia is going to more than double by the year 2058. After coronary heart disease, dementia is the second most common cause of death in men and the leading cause of death in women.1

Two of our Brellah practitioners – geriatrician Dr Chaminda Gunawardana and neuropsychologist Dr Rachael Neville – will be joined by an expert dementia consultant from Dementia Support Australia to deliver a series of engaging presentations on:

  • Dementia with Lewy bodies
  • Navigating capacity assessments for GPs
  • Non-pharmacological approaches to supporting patients with dementia

This event has been accredited by the RACGP.

Date and time: Tues 29th April, 2025; doors open at 5.30pm
Venue: Rydges Hotel, 15 Old Menangle Road, Campbelltown 2560
Grazing table provided.
